Price transparency for all goods and services provided by hospitals, doctors office and pharmacies. When consumers know the actual price of what they’re paying for at every service provider in the market they are easily able to shop around to find the best deal.
*A politician should not come between what a patient and their doctor feel is the best treatment. I fully support medical cannabis as a health care option.
Taxpayers shouldn’t have to pay for private organization’s elections. I advocate for removing partisan primaries from taxpayer funded election process. Further, private organizations, such as political parties, should not be on taxpayer funded government documents (voter registration cards, ballots). I further advocate for nonpartisan voter registration. Finally, voters should have maximum choices at the ballot box. I advocate for a Ranked Choice Voting system that encourages better voting which will result in better candidates being elected.
*When a crime without a victim occurs, no one should be taken away from their family and put in a cage. Non-violent action should not be countered by violence. No one should lose their job and potentially be prevented from future employment if they have not defrauded or otherwise not had their actions cause others harm.
*Possession of cannabis in any form should be made legal.
Part of the American Dream is owning your own home. But do you really own your own home if you are paying rent to the government?? You can live in your home for 50 years and pay off your mortgage but government can still come and take it if you don’t pay! I favor moving the Property Tax to a Sales Tax and spreading those costs out more evenly with visitors that visit Florida.
I am in favor of a person’s right to bear arms so long as those individuals do not cause harm to those that do not cause harm to them.
* Students deserve the option of basic education at a public school chosen by their guardian for their best interests.
*Higher level education should not be the burden of taxpayers. Instead lets allow students to strive to qualify for charitable contributions of institutions that vie for their talents.
To have a government that works for the people rather than for the corporations, we need to hold our elected officals accountable. This means we must remove corporate influence over our elected officals. We must make campaign contributions from living people only and limit the amount each individual may donate to candidates.
